The Aging Office of Western Nebraska and seven cooperating Senior Centers have established volunteer 

opportunities for individuals for the benefit of frail older persons with special needs.  The program matches 

a volunteer with a frail older person.  The volunteer can then provide such assistance as companionship,

respite for a caregiver, escort and transportation, shopping assistance, letter writing, reading or other 

chores which the older person is in need of and the volunteer is capable and willing to provide.
