The AOWN provides support services to family caregivers and grandparents or older individuals that are relative caregivers. A caregiver is one who is an informal provider of in-home and community care to an older individual.

The AOWN can arrange and assist in securing short-term relief for caregivers from their caregiving responsibilities.

The AOWN has made arrangements with providers of emergency response systems in the Panhandle, for the AOWN to provide financial assistance to older persons who are in need of a Lifeline or emergency response system.

The AOWN coordinates a monthly support group for caregivers which allows for peer interaction and support. The AOWN also provides access assistance in providing resource identification for assisting caregivers in their service delivery.

Please contact the AOWN at 308-635-0851 or 1-800-682-5140 for further information.
